Sonorie Studio

Referral Programme Terms

15% of their first payment · Sonorie credit · held 35 days · negotiated cash for approved creators · from 5% off for them

Share your link, and when someone signs up through it and subscribes, you earn 15% of what they pay us for their first 12 months. This page is the whole arrangement. It sits alongside our Terms of Service; where the two disagree about referrals, this document wins.

The parts most likely to matter to you are section 3, which is exactly what a commission is calculated on, section 4, which is when the money actually arrives, and section 5, which is what makes a commission not count.

There are two tracks, and we decide which one you are on

Everyone who shares a link earns 15% as Sonorie build credit, on the first payment that person makes and not on later ones. There is nothing to apply for and no account to open. Credit is spendable inside Sonorie towards generating plugins; it cannot be withdrawn, transferred, or exchanged for money, it does not expire, and it is spent only after whatever your plan already includes. A dollar of credit is worth what a dollar buys here, which is the same rate a paid top-up converts at.

Approved content creators earn cash instead, transferred to a Stripe account in their name, at a rate we agree with them individually— it is shown on their account page and is the rate that applies. Approval is our decision: we are not obliged to approve anyone, to give a reason, or to keep anyone approved, and we may withdraw it at any time. A rate is agreed for as long as the approval lasts; withdrawing approval ends both, and neither is changed retrospectively — a commission keeps the rate it was earned at. Cash requires the identity, bank and tax details Stripe asks for, which is why it is not the open track — see section 4. An approved creator also gets their own discount code: anyone who types it at checkout gets the same discount a link gives, and it earns the creator the same commission. It exists because a link does not work everywhere a creator speaks. We may change or withdraw a code at any time, and a code stops discounting and stops earning when approval is withdrawn.

The person you invite gets a discount on their first month, applied for them at checkout when they arrive through a link, or by entering a creator’s code themselves. A link gives 5%; a creator’s code gives whatever we agreed with that creator, which their code states where it is shared. It applies once, to their first subscription payment, and not to renewals. Because your commission is a share of what they actually paid, their discount reduces it too.

Which track a commission pays on is fixed when that commission is earned, and nothing later changes it. If we approve you as a creator, credit you have already earned stays credit; if we withdraw approval, cash you have already earned stays cash. We do not convert between the two in either direction, and credit is never exchangeable for money.

1. Who you are contracting with

MIMOSA SOLUTIONS LLC

Anyone with a Sonorie account can take part. You do not need a paid plan to refer, and you do not need to have ever sold anything.

2. Your link, and who counts as yours

Your account can generate one referral link. Someone becomes your referral when they create a Sonorie account with your link active in their browser. We remember the most recent link a visitor used, for up to 90 days.

Attribution happens once, at sign-up, and is never reassigned afterwards — a person belongs to whoever referred them first, permanently, and a later link cannot take them. If someone already has an account, they cannot become your referral by clicking your link.

3. What you earn

You earn 20% of each subscription payment your referral makes, for 12 months starting from their first payment — not from the day they signed up. If they sign up today and subscribe in three months, your 12 months begin then.

The 20% is calculated on what they pay us excluding tax. VAT and equivalent taxes are money we collect on a government’s behalf and never our revenue, so no share of them is payable to anyone. We do not deduct card-processing fees before calculating your commission — we absorb those.

Subscriptions only. Marketplace purchases, plugin sales and budget top-ups do not earn a referral commission. Discounts and credit reduce a commission, because it is a share of what was actually paid; a refund removes it entirely, which is section 5.

4. When you get paid

Each commission is held for 60 days from the payment that earned it. The reason is simple: refunds and chargebacks arrive after a payment, and a commission paid on money that later goes back is money we would have to ask you to return. The hold means that in almost every case we can simply cancel it instead.

After the hold, matured commissions are paid out together once your balance reaches $25.00. Below that the balance simply waits — nothing is lost. Payment is a transfer to the same Stripe account used for marketplace payouts, so you will need to complete that setup before anything can be sent. Your balance keeps accruing in the meantime, whether or not you have set it up.

You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn. Depending on where you live and how much you earn, we or our payment provider may need to collect tax information from you or report the amounts paid, and we may hold a payout until that information is provided.

5. What does not earn a commission

These are the cases where a commission is not payable, or is taken back:

  • Referring yourself. An account you also control is not a referral. This includes second accounts, accounts created from the same place as yours, and accounts created on your behalf.
  • Refunds and chargebacks. If a payment is refunded or disputed, the commission on it is reversed. A refund of any partof a payment reverses that payment’s commission in full — we would rather state that plainly than have you discover it. It does not affect any other month. If the commission was already added to your balance as Sonorie credit, it is taken back out of that balance (as far as it has not been spent). If it was already paid to you in cash, it is deducted from your future commissions: your balance can go below zero, and nothing more is sent until it is back above the payout minimum.
  • Paid placement on our own name.Bidding on “Sonorie” or close variants in search advertising, or otherwise intercepting people already looking for us. Those are not referrals we needed.
  • Unsolicited messages. Spam, bulk messaging, and posting your link where the venue does not allow it.
  • Misrepresenting us. Claiming to be Sonorie or to speak for us, promising features we do not have, inventing prices, or implying an endorsement or a partnership that does not exist.
  • Coupon, cashback and incentive sites that add nothing but a discount code between us and a customer who had already decided.
  • Anything unlawful, or any attempt to obscure how a sign-up really happened.

Where we withhold or reverse a commission we keep a record of why. If you think we have it wrong, write to [email protected] and a person will look at it.

6. What you can and cannot see

Your dashboard shows totals: how many people signed up through your link, how many subscribed, and what you have earned. It does not show who they are, what plan they chose, or when they pay — that is their business and not ours to share, and nothing you do can reveal it.

7. Changes, and ending the programme

We can change these terms or end the programme. If we change the rate or the length of the earning period, the change applies to referrals made afterit takes effect — anyone already referred keeps the terms that applied when they signed up. We will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before a change that reduces what you earn.

You can stop at any time by not sharing your link. Commissions you have already earned and that are not reversed under section 5 remain payable.

We may remove an account from the programme for a breach of section 5. If we do, we will tell you why.

8. Contact

[email protected] for anything about the programme, including a commission you think is wrong.
